EVAC Monthly Meeting Speaker Schedule for 2019

All monthly meetings are held on the third Friday of the month at the Southeast Regional Library in Gilbert, beginning at 7:30 PM unless noted otherwise. Monthly reminders will continue to be emailed via EVACONLINE to those subscribed.

January 18th - Tom Mozdzen will talk on recent efforts at ASU to find evidence of when the first stars formed.

February 15th - Sam Gordon (ASU) - A New Way to Space: Launching Telescopes by Balloon from Antarctica.

March 15th - Scott Dickenshied (ASU) - Techniques for Capturing Images During High Speed Flybys.

April 19th - Dr Larry Wasserman (Lowell Observatory) - Characterizing Ultima Thule during NASA's New Horizon Mission.

May 17th - Dr. Chad Trujillo (NAU) - Discovery of minor planet Erin, the "Goblin", and the search for Planet X. .

Located on the Southeast corner of N. Greenfield Road and E. Guadalupe Road in Gilbert, AZ. Just 1.5 miles South of US-60 Superstition Freeway (take Exit 185 - Greenfield Road exit South). Additional parking available in the Southeast Regional Library parking lot off Guadalupe Road.
