The entire Abell catalog of rich clusters of galaxies, compiled by George Ogden Abell, contains 4,073 galaxy clusters (nominal redshift z = 0.2). Thankfully, this observing program contains a few less - 33 of the nearest and brightest examples. This program is based on a list compiled by Steven Aggas.
